In this class, your child will have the opportunity to explore different artistic techniques to express all their creativity. They will learn how to:
• Model/sculpt red earthenware clay, a flexible and versatile material, ideal for working on details and giving a beautiful depth.
• Make unique prints using various materials to capture textures and shapes.
• Learn the technique of sgraffito, which allows one to scratch and reveal underlying layers to create fascinating patterns using slips (ceramic paint).
• Work with the plate technique, ideal for creating precise shapes, reliefs or even more complex structures.
• Mix these techniques for original and personal creations, where modelling, sculpture, imprints, plaques and slip decoration complement each other harmoniously.
By using red earthenware, they will enjoy the clay’s naturally warm hue and ease of use, perfect for beginners as well as more experienced artists.
