In this class, you will have the opportunity to explore different artistic techniques to express all your creativity. You will learn how to:
• Model / Sculpt red earthenware clay, a flexible and versatile material, ideal for working on details and giving a beautiful depth to your creations.
• Make unique prints using various materials to capture textures and shapes.
• Learn the technique of sgraffito, which allows you to scratch and reveal underlying layers to create fascinating patterns using slips (ceramic paintings).
• Work with the plate technique, ideal for creating precise shapes, reliefs or even more complex structures.
• Mould existing models with the technique I call "the Chocapic technique". Ideal for making an identical series, a perfect sphere (with 2 half bowls) or a lighter construction.
• During adult lessons, people can use the wheel to do trimming.
• Mix these techniques for original and personal creations, where modelling, sculpture, imprints, plaques or slip painting decoration complement each other harmoniously.
By using red earthenware, you will enjoy its naturally warm hue and its ease of adaptation, perfect for beginners as well as more experienced designers.
